Margaret Bancroft I am a full time artist. My favorite medium is watercolor because of its spontaneity, unpredictability, and the challenge it presents.

My background includes art education and commercial art.

Portraits are of special interest to me, especially the faces of older people with all their character lines which only comes from a life time of living.

In my portraits I try to capture not only the likeness but the character and spirit of the subject.

I teach art classes to all ages and feel that if I can instill in my students a love and passion for art then I feel I have succeeded as a teacher.

My works are in private collections worldwide. My art work has been exhibited in the United Kingdom and the U.S. I have won numerous awards both in oil and watercolor mediums.

I am a registered member of the Arkansas Artist Registry.

I guarantee all my work to be as described and represented and will sell my paintings either framed or unframed.
